Maria Beemer
Global Chief Engineer, Transformation and Digitalization

Maria Beemer is chief engineering leading transformation and digitalisation for BorgWarner's PowerDrive Systems business, where she leads digital transformation strategy for the global engineering organisation. She works closely with BorgWarner's enterprise IT and business leaders on data platform strategy, responsible AI governance and wider adoption of AI tools, as well as partnerships with technology providers and startups. Before taking on this role, Maria led advanced data science and analytics teams in BorgWarner's Corporate Advanced Engineering organisation. Earlier, she spent nearly ten years at Thermal Wave Imaging developing AI-based inspection systems for aerospace and defence. 

She holds bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science and Engineering from MIT and an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
